About Paris-Roubaix Challenge

The long course of the Challenge follows the business end of the professional race: north from Busigny across the plain of the Nord, through every cobbled sector the pros ride, among them the Trouée d’Arenberg, Mons-en-Pévèle and the Carrefour de l’Arbre, to a lap and a half of the old concrete velodrome in Roubaix.

There is almost no climbing. What makes it hard is the pavé — sector after sector of farm tracks that shake the speed out of you — and the flat, exposed roads between them, where the effort never really stops.

Held on the Saturday before Paris–Roubaix, in April, with shorter 145 km and 70 km courses.

Why ride this route indoors?

  • A long, flat, steady course is the best place to build the sustained power that cobbled sectors demand.
  • With nothing to coast down, it is hours of uninterrupted pedalling — honest endurance work.
  • Your trainer reproduces the distance and the rhythm, not the vibration. You will still know you have done it.

Good to know

+Is this the official course of Paris-Roubaix Challenge?

The track is based on the GPX published by Paris-Roubaix Challenge (A.S.O.) for the 2026 edition, normalised by Cycloscape for indoor riding. Cycloscape is not affiliated with the event’s organisers.

+What do I need to ride Paris-Roubaix Challenge indoors?

A smart trainer or a power meter, and a browser. Cycloscape connects over Bluetooth or ANT+ from the browser, sets the resistance of a smart trainer to the real gradient, and turns the route’s GPX into a 3D world. There is nothing to install.

+Is it free?

Yes. You can start riding this route without an account. A free account saves your result and puts you on the route’s leaderboard.
