About Mallorca 312

The number in the name is the distance in kilometres. The day starts on the beach road at Platja de Muro and goes straight into the Serra de Tramuntana, where almost all of the climbing is packed into the first half: Coll de Femenia, the high road past Puig Major, and a rolling mountain traverse above the west coast.

What follows is the part nobody trains for — more than a hundred kilometres across the plain and around the eastern hills, on tired legs and often into the wind, before the long run back to the sea. Finishing inside the time limit is the whole ambition for most of the field.

Held in late April on roads closed to traffic, with shorter 225 km and 167 km options. The organiser lists the full course at 312 km with about 5,050 m of climbing.

Why ride this route indoors?

  • No local ride prepares you for the second half. Riding the real closing kilometres, already tired, does.
  • The Tramuntana climbs are steady and rhythmic — good long threshold and tempo blocks on their own.
  • You do not have to finish it: the first hundred kilometres, into the Tramuntana and over its passes, are a full mountain day on their own.

Good to know

+Is this the official course of Mallorca 312?

The track is based on the GPX published by Mallorca 312 for the 2025 edition, normalised by Cycloscape for indoor riding. Cycloscape is not affiliated with the event’s organisers.

+What do I need to ride Mallorca 312 indoors?

A smart trainer or a power meter, and a browser. Cycloscape connects over Bluetooth or ANT+ from the browser, sets the resistance of a smart trainer to the real gradient, and turns the route’s GPX into a 3D world. There is nothing to install.

+Is it free?

Yes. You can start riding this route without an account. A free account saves your result and puts you on the route’s leaderboard.
